New Batteries
Does temperature make a difference in the break in period in with new batteries. I'm needing new batteries and am purchasing new trojan 875's but the cart is not garage kept so it will be in the 20's-40's here locally. Just looking for some advice. Thanks!

Re: New Batteries
Not really, but you will definitely want to be keeping them charged as that helps them in regards to the electrolyte being mixed and no stratification. Just use them as normal and charge them after usage.

Re: New Batteries
I know everyone says weather doesn't make that much difference, but I think it does. I put a set on t875's in one cart in 2014 April they are still lasting 18+ holes of golf. I was able to use the cart almost every day when I put the batteries in broke them in good.
I have my present cart I put T875's in January 2015. They barely make 18 holes. I'm waiting until warmer weather to replace them so I can use the cart daily and break them in good. I'm going with ranger 160's so I want to be sure I can break them in good. |

Re: New Batteries
And if you are using them and taking them down to the 50% threshold, then they will build up their duration more and more after each charge. Once the plates/membrane are completely seasoned, the batteries will be at their fullest potential.

Re: New Batteries
Cold certainly affects the batteries but hot weather not so much. We have entire summers of over 30C (86F) up to 42C (107F) and it doesn't affect the batteries much.

Re: New Batteries
My reason in waiting for warm weather is so I can use the cart enough to break them in.

Re: New Batteries
Roots too deep after 72 years. When you guys have storms I say why would anybody move there. When it's cold here I say why not.
