What did you order RedRider??
Reworker 36V's or their reworked 48V motors.

WHat is your stock motor, do you know..is it a D377. does it say 36/48 on the tag??

reworked 48V?? But they say it was wired wound for speed or torque--I have one of their 48V speed motors sitting on the floor of my garage. I did the same as you..wanted to keep my 36V motor just in case. Well as Robbie warned me, i wasn't too happy with the performance of the 48 speed motor he sent. It seems the stock 36V motor running on 48 is more torquey and a little fast than the on they sent me first. But.....back in the beginning on the first phone call, beacause they were such good guys to work with, he offered me a deal that when the 48V showed up, to send my 36 back in their box(i just paid shipping) and they re-worked that one also. just for price of shipping.

WOW!! What a difference. The 48 speed motor was ok once it got wound up on a flat long stretch, but any slight incline and it died out.
The 36 reworked will chirp the tires, holds easy 23-25 even on slight inclines, and tops out @30 on a slight downhill.

One thing we do need to keep in mind here is mines an older resistor cart that was 36V and I upgraded to 48V. I also dont have a controller--mine is basically battery pack to motor at wide open throttle. The controller is definately going to be an issue for you. My neighbor who is "Butterface" on here, Has similiar cart to yours 2000 48V DS, and his biggest gains were when he installed a 500A controller and new 4 GA cables all at same time. That really increased his power and even add a few MPH by GPS readings.

I dont understand why, but the reworked 36V motor is way better in my cart than the 48V speed motor was....That's why the 48V speed motor is still sitting on the floor iin my garage. Has all of about 20 mile on it at most....just didn't like it.

Thats it I need a beer

Yup I hear ya----just keep the box and the packing material--ya never know.

And get a nice controller as soon as your wallet recovers--you won't regret it!!

My "no endorsement" comment the other day wasn't meant to scare ya...it's just been brought to my attention recently that the Mods. like to keep the site sponsors in mind, as it should be......and so now I try now not to push or endorse a non-sponsoring product...I just post my opinions and experiences with them. Thats all it was

Ok

before i recieve and install my purple motor im posting the carts speed stock.

flat straight run 16 mph

up 30% grade 10 mph bottom to top roughly 50 yards

down that same grade top to bottom 21 mph

total range on my "track" in the back field 22 miles. and that is climbing that grade over and over
this part took a while

motor was warm to the touch the controller was cool

so after i get my purple motor ill do the same tests
to see what a diffrence it is
and ill try to get some pics
of my test track

What screen name? Their username is PLUMQUICK. They get on EVERYDAY! Several times a day usually. I'm SURE theres more than one "PQ guy" roaming the forum.
