For anyone to help with that question, you need to specify what type of cart uou have, tire size and driving intentions(mud, paved , hills or flat). A little more info will probably go a long way.

It will be interesting to see what type of help will come forward in regards to PlumQuick questions

Exactly as Oxfordlawn said. If yours is an IQ then I can let you know my experience with the change out. My cart being an IQ 48 volt did very well with the PlumQuick motor. Since my cart was purchased from a Club Car dealer with a 1 year warranty back in late November of 2008 it came with a 1 year warranty. I only changed out the motor, (no cables or controller at this time,) since I can easily change the motor back if something were to happen and the cart had to go in for warranty work. My results with just the motor change were more torque then the stock motor and an exceptional speed increase, now a solid 25 MPH+. You will NOT have to go to speed code 4 either since their motor bypasses the speed sensor. If you want or need the full potential of low end torque available you’ll need to change out your controller as well as go with 4 gauge welding wires, something I will do after my warranty expires. I’ve including a link to a thread I did on my change over. Disregard the part where it says you need to go to Speed Code 4. Good luck

PLUMQUICK spends quite a bit of time on here. More than he does their own forum. Maybe he could answer a question or 2 about their own product. Ya know....earn some of that free advertising. We will see.

Heck, I'm curious to see if theres any PQ owners out there besides just you few guys.

PlumQuick is located in S.C. and is owned by the Steens.

I'm located in Wellington, FL just down a ways from BRS, another member of BGW so I'm also not that guy! I heard of PlumQuick from a member here on BGW, AugustaResident who used one of their motors and had great success. I believe GMorrison, Oxfordlawn and myself have their motors as well. Oxfordlawn, are you saying that you're unhappy with their motors? Just wondering...

Absolutely not!!!! I LOVE MY MOTOR!!!

In fact I will be purchasing another for a Precedent next week. I have an 07 Precedent coming to be fixed up and resold for some extra money money.

I'm just not looking for any more problems on this forum by endorsing a non sponsoring members product. Im a keyboard wimp

I hear ya!!! I don't blame Roady or any business owner for wanting to send business to their vendors who support their business by paid advertising or other means. As a business man I do the same exact thing! But I also encourage my people to shop and get three bids before we purchase anything. We then check for quality as well as customer satisfaction with those vendors since the lowest price is not always the best way to go. The reason I respect this site is because of FREE SPEECH on all topics. I also believe enough in PQ because of what their motor has done for MY Precedent. If another member asks a question we're fortunate to be able to state our personal opinion. When I'm off warranty I'll be purchasing a Controller from one of the vendors on this site, (shopping all of course for the best price,) as well as future accessory and maintenance items I'll need for my cart. This will allow me to establish a comfort level with that vendor for years to come. I found this site through Google as I'm sure others have and from what I understand from listening to other members of BGW, sites like BuggiesUnlimited limit what's allowed to be discussed.
