Question Moving horn button off the floor... who's got it??

Any feedback on where you guys are putting the horn button besides on the floor? I don't want it there b/c not only do I not feel like drilling through my diamond plate but it seems like I'd always be bumping into it with my big canoes. Anyone get it up around the turn signal area? I was trying to find a button small enough to work somewhere around there... still looking.
Any other ideas??

I mounted an auxillary switch on the kick panel near the gear selector on my marathon. I would think a momentary ignition style switch would look fine there. Do like I did, I used a race style toggle switch with a cover to protect it and make it look cool.

I have a cart at the shop with the horn button on the steering column... I will try to get some pics posted tomorrow for you.

Look into this..im not sure of the wiring similiarities, but I just installed a deluxe light kit on a Precedent and it had the horn button on the end of the turn signal lever, it was a sweet setup. The turn signal lever assembly looked the same as a DS kit I recently iinstalled, just some extra wires which im sure you could figure out. The light kit came from "Stenten" cart supplies....maybe one of the sponsors can help out with this, STenten only sells to parts suppliers or anyone with a tax ID #.

I had one of the universal horn buttons that clamps around steering column and added a insulator under it because of the NO FRAME GROUND ON ELECTRIC GOLF CARTS and it works great. Its mounted just below my turn signal switch and on the right side of column for pushing. I moved it that way so only the strap around column shows outside, and is easier to get at to honk.

That's the perfect turn signal package with the button on the end of the lever. Too bad it's for the Precedent... There are some good ideas above from ya'll. I wonder if I can turn the hazard switch into a horn activator.

FYI- They'll only sell to vendors even if you have a tax ID#
Thanks guys

yes, would like to see it (always like pics!)

Old Mec- I haven't seen the horn button type that clamps around the steering column. Sounds like the solution if I want to keep my hazards working (like I should).

I mounted one by the foward and reverse switch it seems like a good spot B/C the passsager can lay on the horn if needed.

Extractor,

Here's a pic of the Horn Button, Turn Signal Lever Combo that Oxfordlawn was speaking about. You can always get a decent looking moment switch mounted up high on your column and run the wires down to your horn relay. Good luck
