Default Lester summit 2 charger

Scottyb was wondering if you got these in stock yet. Website says you were hoping to have in stock 1/25. Looking to purchase one soon. Would rather go through site supporter like you.

10-4 I can wait little while still haven't bought batteries. Can you explain which would be a better choice the 650 or the 1050 watt. I have a 2000 36v resistor cart that I've removed all electronics from and going to 48v with alltrax 500 amp controller and the reversing contactor.

The difference I see is in the bulk charge rate.
The 650w is rated 13.5a for 48v
The 1050w is rated 22 a for 48v.
While the 650 is a good match for most 8 and 12 volt packs
very high capacity batteries like I have in the Shuttle 8/T145 at 260 ah each then the higher capacity is a better match.
I have had the 1050w on board in a TXT with T875 for 2 years and these batteries are also very we kept. The only down side to the 1050w model is the bulk of it's size and the higher cost.

So the 1050w would be a better match for the higher capacity batteries. What will thenprice be for 1050wat 48v when you get them in and when do you expect them.

Which would be a better charger for 180-190 ah pack? Leaning still towards the 650w, Would probably be on charger more than used. Also it looks like they are in stock for ordering now. What do I put for cordset it it's going to be setup for onboard use? The pictures I've seen on google look like I would just run single strands out to the battery pack? Also trying to understand the interlock circuit, I have no obc, it looks like it has a set of normally closed contacts that I could run my key switch wire through. It has a bunch of jargon about a resistive interlock . My understanding is it is normally closed when there is no ac power to the charger. Once ac power is applied it energizes the relay and open/breaks the circuit inhibiting the operation of the cart?

That is how the 1050W model works, the 650W only has a single pin internally pulled high by a 10kΩ resistor while not in interlock.

You also cannot use that relay in the 1050W for key-switch control since it is a very low current relay.

How to wire the interlock depends on the specific Controller being used.

The 650w model is doing a good job on my 180 ah batteries for 6 months now.
The 1059w is labeled industrial duty. On board wise the 1050w charger is considerably larger in size than the 650w. The cord connection is 2 screw terminals. The connection for on-board should be 10g primary wire with ring terminals. It should be simple enough to make your own once the charger mounting location/position is known.
These chargers are in stock. The price for the 650w charger is $305. The 1050w is $339. See the charger pricing here > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/lester-summit-ii.html

Since You are using an Alltrax Series Controller, the best way to provide interlock is to only allow key switch power if the charger is not connected.

Use the relay circuit (bottom of picture) in this post:
