Default Alltrax XCT300 - field map question

I just purchased a Alltrax XCT300 listed for Club Car (IQ/i2/PDPlus/Precedent) 300 Amp Controller Regen version from golfcartking. My cart serial begins with PH which I know is the Excel version. Will this controller come with the appropriate field maps? If not can I simply download and flash them as an end user?
I’m a little confused on if Alltrax is Loading field maps that cover a wide range of devices or if it is very particular.
My current setup is stock 2012 precedent and I will have my children on it regularly. I want to make sure that I can install, change some minor settings, and hit the street!

You need to download the free software from the Alltrax website and make sure they loaded the correct Field Map.

The field map for the stock motor is named: EJ4-4001-V9

If that is not what is loaded, just send a quick e-mail to Alltrax support and they will send the file to You right away.

You can customize all sorts of options with the software.

The XCT IQ control also fits an Ezgo model so the dealer can order it with either map IQ or EZ loaded. If you bought a controller specifically for the IQ then it should have the map loaded for the year(s) specified when ordered. Contact your dealer while waiting for the control to arrive to erase any doubt.

I’ll shoot them an email! I’d prefer to get to know the software and take care of it all myself. Thanks for the help as the dealer is less than stellar.

You need to look into this.... IQ/Excel, and PDPlus are two totally different systems. These two different systems have different controller connectors on their respective wire harness. Which controller is it? Is it an XCT-48300IQ or an XCT48300PDP? They are not the same. The XCT-48300IQ will work on your cart, the XCT-48300PDP will not.

I see the difference on the pin connectors on Alltrax website. The vendor I ordered it from states it is the iq model. That’s the good news. I’m almost tempted to return it considering their poor service.

No need for that. Just remember it in the future. An Alltrax is an Alltrax. As long as it’s new, we can help you with warranty issues if there’s ever a problem. Hang around here and deal with forum sponsors and you’ll be treated fairly. I guarantee it.

Youre a gentleman and a scholar. Do I need the extension for the OBC I keep seeing everywhere? If the harness isn’t large enough I’d prefer to just order that instead of building jumpers.

No, just re-route the wire harness as shown and it'll reach.
