Default 2012 precedent issue

We were putting batteries in my friends 2012 precedent and he had the dash apart at the same time, we got all the batteries in and when we went to turn the key on to test the 2 wires behind the dash either touched or hit the steering column. It blew the main fuse so we replaced it. The cart now beeps in reverse but doesnt move, no soilenoid click, no effort to move, nothing. The cart got brand new t875 Trojans that are reading at 50.7v. From the key switch to the main neg terminal it only reads about 23v. I think the wires behind the dash could have damaged something else down stream before the fuse. Any ideas?

The reverse buzzer is powered by the same source as the Green wire on the key switch.

Follow the Green wire from the key switch until it splits to the Pink wire from the reverse buzzer.

There is a sonic weld junction joining those wires with the power wire from the tow/run switch that probably got damaged.

Thank you for the response! First of all, what is a "sonic weld"? How do I tell if it is damaged? And if it is, how is it repaired?

Thanks again!

A Ultrasonic weld is a method of splicing wires without using connectors and they are prone to failure when they get old or stressed:

If You are getting pack voltage on the pink wire at the Reverse buzzer, that sonic weld is the most likely culprit.

You can either solder the connection or use a closed end crimp connector.
