Default 95 club car ds 48v won't move

Have a full charge, changed solenoid, f/r micros. Still won't move. Lurches forward and stops. The only way the solenoid engages if I ground the small yellow post. Still the cart won't run. Any ideas? There are no cut wires, lights or any aftermarket electronics on the cart. I have went through all the connections and checked for broken wires. thanks

Check the wire from the OBC to B- on the controller. If good (I think it probably is or would not charge) run a wire from the small stud where the yellow wire is on the solenoid to pack negative battery and see what happens.

As MC stated, the small yellow post is supplying your Neg from the OBC to give you the 48- for your solenoids' activation circuit. If the cart only "lunges" then there is most likely a solenoid problem in where the solenoid clicks (does not mean it closed though) and then the capacitors in the controller discharge, giving you momentary movement, then it stops because current did not flow through the solenoid.

You need to verify the solenoid is actually "closing" and conveying current across the large posts.

Have voltage to the controller. And yes I jumped out the yellow wire solenoid works, first thing I done. Not getting an ohms reading from pedal.

Then your potentiometer is bad. Is that an OEM Potbox or have you upgraded/replaced it already?

No I have not upgraded. Is there a certain one you would suggest?

Dave at "Revolution Golf Cars" has an upgrade kit. Look above at the "Site Sponsors."

Cool thanks. I wanted to get the right one because my luck I will get the wrong kit. My cart is an early 95. I took the pedal apart and it looks like a old small condenser and a blue micro switch.

If it is an OEM it is a Potbox unless it is an A9501 through A9516 serial number which is under your dash, as they had a 0-5k throttle. It needs to be A9517 or later to work which have the 5k-0 throttle.

Here is where you get it https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...conversion-kit
