Default Brake question

I just got an 03 Electric DS. The left brake drum won't come off. The drum moves but it seems to be caught on the shoes. I have no Idea how to get it apart. Any thoughts?

If you can rotate the drum, and if there is a rubber grommet covering a hole in the drum....you can remove the rubber grommet. Then stick a flat head screw driver through the hole (which should be rotated to be able to see the star adjust, ent gear). Use the screw driver to adjust the brakes loose enough to remove the drum.

Thanks. I found the answer. I don't have access to the adjuster, so I have to cut the heads off the retainer pins.

Before you do that tap on it a bunch of times with a hammer all around. If you get it started use a screwdriver to help pry it off.

Mooncarter is right, as usual. Don’t cut anything until you exhaust other options. Just means you’ll need to replace stuff to put it back together. Are new retainer pins an easy item to get? I know very little about quite a lot.
