48V on a Motor model 1012190
Hi All,
Just bought a 1985ish DS (no serial number so exact year is in question). It's the 5 solenoid resistor pkg so I know it's 82-87. Getting ready to turn it into my property cart and have some fun with it, because that's what I do. Definitely going to upgrade to solid state first thing and I am looking at all te packages etc. I have searched the forum and have seen where people say putting 48v to the 36v motors should be fine and I agree most motors have a decent voltage range. I was wondering if anyone has or know for certainty if that's true with the Club Car Motor 1012190. There is nothing on the motor plate other than the model number. Thanks for all the help. I have already learned a ton just looking through the forum. I'll be sure to post results from all the trouble I am sure to cause. :) |

Yep, I have a friend with a similar cart running 48v through the stock motor. Definitely a little more pep.
