Remote kill switch
Anyone have any suggestions on what type of switch can be used for a remote kill switch?

Re: Remote kill switch
Whatever will not interfere with the main switch, I don't know the value of a stock precedent key switch so I am in the dark. Just hiding another switch in line with the stock switch to interrupt he voltage flow and render it useless. Don't want a key switch, just an on/off switch. Something like this one.....depth may be a problem where mounting...

I would use the run/tow circuit if you want the switch under the seat. Or if you want the switch hidden in an area on the dash use the key switch circuit. You have plenty of room to mount a switch on the underside of the dash panel and it would be really easy to wire. I wouldnt put it under the seat it's a pain you'll constantly forget to turn it on before you sit down. Any switch would work if using either of the circuits above as they have no amp draw on them. I wouldnt use a lighted switch itll be harder to find one rated for 60v and more expensive. Just a plain Jane 12v switch would work fine. Amazon has 1000s of options the round ones are alot easier to install than square bodied ones as you just drill a hole. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk |

Re: Remote kill switch
I have a Precedent as well. Someone gave me the idea of taking the tow/run switch and relocating it. I thought about it and came up with a slightly better idea. Extend it as mentioned but buy another one to do it. Just leave the stock one in place not hooked up.
On my cart I have a lockable bag well thought about and thought about extending it there. That way if someone think the tow/run is off and flip it to on, it still won't do anything as it's just a dummy switch at that point. Anyway, just a thought |

Re: Remote kill switch
There is no heavy amperage going to the key switch. It is a 48v switch, but very low amperage.

Re: Remote kill switch
Rv or marine battery disconnect? they are meant for exposure to elements, need a key to turn on or off, key is removable in either position and you could place anywhere with a small opening for the key.

Re: Remote kill switch
Used this switch and it worked just fine, and the price was $6 for five of them delivered. The switch is small, unlit and hides quite well...
