Default Potentiometer?

Ok guys this is probably a dumb question but Iím new to this and bought a 1995 48v CC DS from a individual recently and have pretty much done a complete rebuild but Iím not sure which Potentiometer I have or if itís even the original one at this point and if it is one of the MCOR ones what can I do to figure out what Iíve got because i have yet to see one that looks exactly like what I have..... sorry I donít have any pictures at this particular time to help out.... thanks in advance

Some 1995 had a 0-5k potentiometer under the dash /floor with a mechanical connection to the go pedal.

Ok is there anything that would tip me off to it already having been upgraded to the MCOR? I’m pretty sure I know where it’s located it just doesn’t look quite like any of the pictures of seen.... thanks for the reply

To answer your question, in '95 when the 48v CC came out, there were early models that ran from production week 1 thru 14 with the 0-5k potentiometer, not a pot-box (this was also on the '93-'94 36v models). These are easy to identify by checking the serial number or the controller. If it is a 0-5k it will have a black controller. From production week 15 thru 52 they had 5k-0 (3)-wire potentiometers and the controller was silver.

If you check either the serial number or the controller color you can be sure of which potentiometer you have.

Here is a pic in the drawing you can see the Pot Box:

An MCOR would require an MCOR conversion kit.

This is correct. I'll add that if the cart has a "pot-box" under the floor then it would have to be a newer style car with the newer style linkages underneath. This car would be fully compatible with the AM293201 MCOR 4 conversion kit. The early 0-5K cars never had a pot-box under the floor. They all had multi-step potentiometers under the seat mounted to the frame between the batteries.

Ok Iíve put a new motor and controller in it but the old one was silver..... is it the purple, yellow and green cluster of wires that have a plug on it that runs down underneath the floor? I believe it runs down to a black box and then the green and a blue come out to the key is this correct?
