Default 84 Club Car DS

Just bought this cart it flys in reverse and goes about 3mph in forward any advice thanks

Sounds like it is not wired correct. Originally the cart was wired for half power in reverse.....sounds like someone switched the cables around...There are probably 2 cables coming to the bottom of the F&R .... one to battery pack positive and the other to the middle of the pack positive? take your volt meter and check the voltage of these 2 different power supplies. one should be 36+ and the 18+
