How does the accelerator underneath work is it a cable and is there some kinda switch underneath that only allows the cart only go so fast being this old I wouldn't think it would be as safety cautious as the newer one do

Do you have a black pie shaped box under the seat that the throttle pedal is linked to?

Or do you have something underneath the linkage goes to?

Yes. Disable the cart. Pop the cover off of that. Check and make sure the wiper arm is going all the way up when the pedal is depressed.

So just opened it when you press the pedal down it come up to a bout a little over a 16inch to the top of the pie and it goes all the way down as well
