It's worth the money. Just make sure they are new batts. Look at the terminal to tell the month/year. I've seen folks clean and paint trojans to make them look new. Gotta say, they did a nice job... They did look new. GOOD LUCK.

Thanks everyone. I'll be going to see it on Thursday. I think the comment he made about it be rebuilt when he gave me the serial number, means that the cart is now "different" than when it was manufactured, so I should not go by what the serial number would indicate the cart is. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Like I said, I'll go and see it, take it for a ride and offer $3500 and go from there.

The serial number will only change when the factory rebuilds it!

If it's "rebuilt" by a cart dealer, It probably just means:
New batteries, new body, new rims and tires, etc. etc. etc.

A rebuilt motor and transaxle, Might...just might... throw up a red flag!
(the factory doesn't even do that... they just inspect them!)

Just an opinion... I'd look on Craigslist first in your area to see what others are pricing their carts at. There are plenty of 06 Precedents with new batteries and speed code 4, (19.2 MPH,) that are around for $2,500. Use that as a bargaining tool and offer $3,000 first. You can always come up to the $3,500. Good luck with your purchase!

PS, verify that the batteries are in fact new!

I'd be wanting full disclosure. My frame is a 94. The body and everything else is an 07. Nothing to hide from anyone. I'd wonder why he would want to not be upfront about all of it.

There is nothing you can do about this, but I know for a "FACT" that some of the used dealers in my area sand down, smooth out with a hot iron and then restamp the codes in the batteries. Was told about this by a dealer I just bought a wholesale cart from, admitted he does it himself if the batteries are older than should be for resale.
Anyone ekse hear of this
