Default Things to check when buying an old cart

Ill start with checking to make sure there’s fluid in the differential. I bought a really clean 95 DS and was cruising about 15mph. The rear diff seized up and I skidded to a stop. I havent torn apart the diff but Im guessing its dry😂

Are you sure it's the differential?

Removed the drain plug today. Bone dry. Not 1 drop came out.
Luckily a found a used rear axle/diff. I made sure to drain and replace the fluid before I installed it.
