Default 48V to 12V Reducer on 2015 Club Car

Hello,
Does anyone know the best mounting location for a 48 to 12V voltage reducer on a 2015 club car? I understand they get hot. I am only using it to power underbody LED lights.
Thank you.

Shouldn't get very hot if it's a 30 amp reducer and you're only using led lights on it.

You can mount it anywhere that will stay dry. The only thing I would suggest is mounting the fuse block in an easily accessible location for future 12V add-ons.

FWIW, if you're just running headlights, there are 48v bulbs avail.

Thank you. The headlights are already powered by 48V. These are underbody colored LED lights. LEDGLOW strip lights

Did you find a spot to mount the reducer? I am doing same thing...just running Led's under body.

craven_m,
Are you using a voltage reducer made for the Precedent, or are you hard wiring an aftermarket unit?

The standard on e for the Precedent mounts on the Dash board support, and plugs into the harness.

I just ran into this problem. I ordered an aftermarket Reliance Converter and there is no good place to mount because of the size. What I ended up doing is buying a piece of 1/4 flat stock aluminum and if you go under your cart there is a flat plate by the steering that you can make a bracket for or bolt to. If you have a smaller converter you won’t need to make one. I mounted to the rear plate to eliminate water hitting it even though it is waterproof. You can mount to the front or rear. Just turn your wheels and look under the passenger tire. Hope this helps.
