Default 2012 Villager 8 Seater accelerator pedal intermittent

Our church has a 2012 E-8-Seat Club Car Voyager that is quick and reliable with one new problem: When the pedal is pressed to "GO" it doesn't move. I am not sure exactly what action or multiple actions make it go, but if I keep playing with the switch, key and the pedal eventually it clicks and starts moving. Once it starts going it doesn't have an issue until it comes to a complete stop. Thoughts?

To troubleshoot I thought I would start with the Forward/Reverse Switch but it is in the dash. I can't tell if I should access the switch from the back or if there is a part of the dash that pops out? See picture attached.

Any ideas?

Mike

Unplug the two pin connector from the MCOR (under the floor and connected to a linkage from the pedal) and jump out the connector with a paper clip or a small piece of wire. It will be a blue wire and green wire connector. If it runs with the jumper in place, your MCOR has failed.

Hi Nole fan:

I was able to get the f/r switch off for the cart - a rocker switch. And it looks fine. Nothing burnt, bent, or broke.

It could still be bad. But put it back and do the test Nole told you to do.

Troubleshoot it that way.

And that ~could be an issue later, but for now lets rule out the microswitch in the MCOR. Try the test I mentioned above and lets see if it remedies anything.

Nole and Moon:

Just in case you were worried (hopeful?) that I had disappeared just been busy this week and haven't had a chance to review. Right now I am still trying to get to the MCOR. I know where it is but can't get the floor mat off without cutting it due to pedals. Brake pedal seems easy enough to get off but accelerator pedal - I can't see what screws are holding it on. Looks like I will have to cut the mat to make it large enough to pull over the pedals.

The MCOR should be up under the cart and accessed from underneath. It will have a linkage off your pedal running over to it and mounted off the frame.

Alright... so here you go. I am pulling out the clip. connecting the green wire and the blue wire to each other and plugging the clip back in?

There should be two (2) connectors at the MCOR. A 3-wire and a 2-wire. Unplug the 2-wire connector (it only has a blue wire and a green wire) and put a paperclip in inside the connector that is hanging down now. Leave it like that and then test the cart.
