Jake’s Shifter retrofit on a ClubCar Electric?
Is there any way to retrofit that Jake’s shifter to my 2003 DS 48V with old FNR rocker switch? Otherwise is the AllSports shifter my 2nd best option? I’m wanting something to match up better with my Bronco conversion.

I don't know, but I'm interested to see your "Bronco conversion"!

Does your vehicle serial number begin with IQ? If so, I've done it. It requires some tricky wiring basically using a series of microswitches to mimic the F&R switch, but it will work.

I’ll check the serial number for the IQ. Thanks

Re: Jake’s Shifter retrofit on a ClubCar Electric?
FQ is also IQ. Essentially what you're gonna have to do is to get an F&R switch from a series cart with a lever operated switch. I'd check on the forum and see if you can find somebody who will give you one that's burnt up. It's not gonna matter in your case because you're not gonna be using the copper contacts anyways. There's a series of three micro switches on the back of the F&R switch. You're gonna un-plug all three wires from your current rocket switch and plug all three of them into the microswitches as mentioned:
MICRO Switch 1 is the closest micro switch to the base of the F&R switch Micro#1 - COM = Orange from original F&R Micro#1 - Normally Open = Jumper wire from here to the COM post of micro switch #3 Micro #2 is un-used MICRO Switch 3 is the furthest from the base of the F&R switch, and closest to the batteries. Micro #3 COM = See above Micro #3 Normally Open = Blue from original F&R Micro #3 Normally Closed = Brown from Original F&R This setup will allow you to have a true dead zone in the neutral position which will prohibit the car from running in either direction. All the way forward on your shifter will be forward and all the way back will be reverse. This can be inverted by swapping the blue and brown wires on micro #3. |

Wow! Are you kidding me. I had all but moved on! Alright so if I had to do this quickly and just buy a new 3 micro switch unit, where’s the best place to get it?
Great news. |
