Default Precedent and TXT Voltage reducer install help

I am constantly having to "fix" my friends and neighbors golf carts. I have to install voltage reducers a lot! is there any wires that are keyed 48 volt in the battery tub area? I'd like to be able to wire it so it turns on with the key but not have to run a wire to the dash to the actual key switch.

Also same question for the ezgo txt.

Thanks

There should be some connections around the controller area, there are a number of people on this forum (Sergio, NoleFan4Ever, FairTax4Me to name a few) who could define it for you if they see this thread.

My only concern about your logic is that most of the 12V stuff is needed at the front so you're going to have to put wires through to the dash anyway - it's just a matter of deciding if they are 48V or 12V. The 48V ones are actually thinner and easier to fit in the channel than the 12V ones are.

Pin #10 (Tan) on the controller. is On/Off 48V + from the key switch. As for the E-Z-GO, it depends on the drive system on your cart. If it's a TXT48, it may be the same, as they also use a Curtis controller, same as the Precedent. An E-Z-Go guy would have to confirm the pinout. I'm not very fluent in speaking E-Z-Go.
