Default 48 to 12 volt reducer

I am in the process of converting my 4x12 to 6x8 and looking to see where everyone has their reducer mounted

Are you installing an OEM or aftermarket?

This is an OEM 30a reducer and will fit your factory harness. https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...-precedent-30a

If you haven't got a reducer yet but are thinking of getting one then the one that Nole suggested is good. The reason for that is that it is a "five wire" reducer. The fifth wire is a trigger wire which can be connected to the "cold" side of the keyswitch so that the reducer only uses power when the key is on. If you buy a cheap four wire reducer you'll have the added expense, and wiring complication, of a relay to get it to work that way safely.

There are a few spots it will go on a precedent. One place that aftermarket ones are often put is on the flat steel plate behind the front suspension. It already has some convenient holes and also acts as a good heatsink. David at Revolution Golf Cars will also give you good advice on where the factory ones go and how they plug into the loom.

Good luck.

I agree David is the way to go on this. David has helped me on 2 carts not only with the parts but the service for questions is second to none.
