Default Precedent Speed code programming??

Could someone explain what the process is for changing speed codes?
I know you need the hand-held scanner, but is that it? How on the scanner is the code reprogrammed? Does something else, a download or reflash memory, have to be bought and then loaded into or thru the scanner into the cart??
I just bought a golf course 07 Precedent, and not sure what spped code is programmed, batteries charging as I type, and then these questions came up while we were looking the cart over sooooo..I knew where to ask

I know the first thing I would do...
Take it to a CC dealer and have them take a look!!! (because it's free... at CC my dealer anyway!)

This was just a curiousity question as to how this is done. I understand this stuff, I have reflashed many auto computers, just wondering how its done on a Cart, particularly the speed code upgrades.
The actual answer on this particular cart doesn't matter because I am swapping the motor out anyway with a highspeed motor that doesn't care what speed code is installed.
I just like to know and understand how these things are done, I'm sure I will need to know how its done eventually

Try using the search on "Club Car IQ"... there may be something that may be able to help you out!

Got my answer...almost...Scubabud had posted the actual instruction sheet from CC only a few weeks ago. Its not hard at all, but from what I read, you have to purchase the "kit" from Club Car, have it installed by Club Car only ?? One code kit per cart??? Would the same codes(code A,B,C) work on multiple carts but not get the stickers to install on the cart??
What Im asking is can I take the A,B, and C codes from a cart that is already upgraded and then program those into a different cart and have Speed Code 4 be activated, just not get the stickers to be all legal like.

I believe the code ordered from CC is unique to each cart since it's based on the carts original serial number/controller number. If you plan on using a PQ IQ motor you shouldn't need to purchase speed code 4 to get max speeds. As far as A,B & C codes, all IQ's come with them built into the controller and only need the programmer tool to change back and forth.

Hey Scuba...I know I can call PQ to get this answer, but I don't haver an hour to spend on the phone
Do you still have the regen braking after you installed your PQ motor ?

I just bought a 06 Precedent. I am also looking at the pq motor. Did you have to manuelly disable the regen or was it disabled when you installed the pq motor?
