Re: how far?
According to terrain, speed, driving characteristics, and Ah of batteries, but ~18-20 miles should be achievable. The more load (Amp-Hours) pulled from the pack, the faster they will deplete.

Re: how far?
I misread the post. I thought it was distance of the pack. The light will come on below a certain voltage and I cannot recall what it was but I will look for it. At full stop, it will illuminate if below 48.1 volts.

Re: how far?
I had to go back to Lester to confirm, but I spoke to them and it was designed to come in while under a steady load with a sustained ~47 volts (or roughly 25% SOC). It was a time delayed trigger so as to not come in every time you floored the throttle and is why you generally would not see it until your pack was very low. The 48.1v is when at rest or no load.
