Re: wiper switch assembly ?
You press the accelerator, which pushes a rod, which pushes the wiper switch arm to give an electronic throttle signal. depending on what type of system you have, either its a low voltage signal which a controller reads and feeds theproper high voltage to the motor....or...
The wiper switch has a bunch of contacts and battery cables, and depending on what position the wiper switch is pushed to, the battery voltage is fed thru a different contact, tthru a different sized resistor(5 in all) which alters the battery pack voltage and then goes to the motor, less voltageresistor based)-less speed. I hope that was clear |

Re: wiper switch assembly ?
Can you give a little more detail on what type of cart you have.
Year, model, 36V or 48V? |

Re: wiper switch assembly ?
Have you measured the battery pack to see what your voltage is?

Re: wiper switch assembly ?
I'm not all that familiar with 48v set ups, but I know that if you will read the entire pack you can get your total volts.
I read the volts across my battery pack right from the first battery to the last. Mine's 36V. From what I can see on the schematic, touch the last post on battery 6 (should have a black wire going to OBC) and the other lead to battery 1 positive post (I think- you can touch both post and one will give you a higher reading than the other) and you should read more than 48V. Look at the top threads (Sticky's) and you will see wiring diagrams. |

Re: wiper switch assembly ?
A good rule of thumb here is to visually follow the charger leads to the battery pack. They will connect to the positive and negative ends of the battery pack regardless of the voltage.
With the key on do you hear the solenoid click when you press the gas? If not it could be that the microswitch went bad over the winter. Physically actuate the micro switch at the F&R with your finger.... does it make a crisp little click? |
