Default Extending the all sport lift block

So I put the stock single spring in the front of the all sport lift. I also put the stock leafs in the back. Now the front sits 1’’ higher than the back. not really a big deal but i was wandering if i could put a 1 1/2 in spacer on top of the lift block under the rear axle. Just asking because the brake drums were flipped Andy he cables were mounted on top. Maybe there would be some handling issues. The block that’s back there only looks a couple inches high. I was thinking using 1/4’’ steel plates with 1’’ on the sides of the block which would give me 1 1/2 overall higher. Right now i am 16’’ high at the front of the floor boards and 15’’ at the back. Any feedback or options would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jerry

The only problem I can see is that the shock would be compressed to far. I am not sure the shock does anything but o could relocate the hole on the plate down 1’’ if needed.

Are those stock shocks? Also, when you jack up the rear end they will extend a bit fwiw. I’ve never seen a stock shock on a Precedent be compressed fully at rest.

They are Monroe car shocks i like them because they match the motor. I could probably take them off. I really doubt they do anything as stiff as the springs are. I put the stock single leaf in the front and i still have a hard time compressing it down by pushing on it and i know the shocks in the front do nothing i had them off. I can compress the back but not easy to do.

Ok what if I extended the shackles 1/2” and put a 1/2” spacer obove the blocks then the shock should stay the same right

A taller block or a longer shackle would give you extra height. Your lift kit has the tall All-Sports block already, so they're not gonna have anything taller than that. Anything taller will have to be fabricated.

It would be wayyyyy easier to just make longer shackles.
Make them 3 inches longer will get you about 1-1/2” extra lift.

Make sure your motor wires are long enough to reach when the suspension is at full drop. Don’t need one of those to get pulled loose and break a stud or blow out your controller if you go over a big bump or something.

I assume that you only extend the shackles at the rear of the cart only and not up at the frame. So I think my plan is to cut 4 pieces of 1/4 pieces of aluminum not sure of the exact size but it would be like 1 1/2”x4”plates to go over the lift blocks. Then extend the shackles by 2” using steel or stainless steel because I would think aluminum would bend or roll over.
