Just got the cart weighed in at the Royal Palm weight station.

Need to put it on a diet, came in at 1,140 lbs without me on it!

Now the only thing left is the actual inspection

Bummer if you tell them it is a low speed vehicle and fail you for being able to go faster than the 25 mph allowed. Maybe go in with low batteries........ and no bragging......

Great point Doug,

They never really drive them in the first place. I have to park outside, pull the cart off the trailer and pull it up to their building in the parking lot. Really not enough room to get it to top speed in that parking lot. Thanks for the suggestion!

You'll be just fine, I was just yankin on your chain a little.

The speed requirements here in California are similar to yours in Florida. When a cart comes in for approval they use the manufacturers' specs to determine speed. If it is a new application from a manufacturer, it needs to be certified with fresh batteries and 2 GPS runs noting wind speed and terrain.

You're sure to pass with flying colors. Good luck with it.
BTW, nice tastefully done cart!
