Default Re: Anyone get their cart Florida Street Legal?

My cart is now Florida street legal! After all of the hard work to add everything to meet the statute requirements, the gal that performed the 'inspection' spent more time figuring out where to stick the VIN number than looking for street legal add-ons. Never asked if it was electric, didn't use a check-list, and didn't ask me to take it off of the trailer.
She did ask for originals of the invoices for anything I added, a bill of sale, proof of insurance, weight slip, 2 pictures of the cart, and the required forms below:

HSMV 86064- Affidavit for Golf Cart Modified to a LSV
HSMV 82040- Application for Certificate of Title
HSMV 84490- Statement of Builder
HSMV 84491- Statement of Builder (Additional Sheet)

Total fee was $485. I walked out with a title, registration, and tag. The title lists my 2006 EZ GO PDS as a 2010, ASPT (Make), & 4P (Body).
I will be happy to answer any questions and help you through the process.

First off I live in Miami Florida not to many Street Legal Carts where I live that I have seen on the street keyword LEGAL !!!!
About 10 pieces of paper to fill out basic stuff took about 30 minutes
Went to DMV to make sure all papers were in order receits, bill of sale,etc... before I dragged cart over there lady said they were she checked everything and it was great 2 days later took cart she inspected ($40.00) all of 2 minutes never took it off trailer then it took her 5 minutes to put the VIN sticker finally placed on metal chasis and to my surprise she placed it upsidedown hahaha
yes she did she was nervous
Next went to tag agency this is when it gets expensive paid taxes on bill of sale $4000 bill of sale minus a Zero so I paid $400.00 for cart
Taxes,New Title Fee,New Custom Tag (need to wait 2 months to get it so she gave me a firefighter one in the mean time since thats what I ordered ) and that came out to be $312 and thats about it
All I have to say is that its time consuming more than anything but well worth it in my opinion
Then I came home and took everything off
