I spoke with Nancy, she seemed knowledgeable.

If you read through this thread it will help you with your conversion to a LSV for Florida. The most important will be the receipts showing you've purchased and installed everything that is required. Make sure that your windshield receipt shows it's an AS5 plastic

Thank God for this forum...long story short, looked into converting our cart 2 years ago, but didn't know where to start and hubby says "nah, we don't need to do that..."
So last week he overhauled the cart, new brakes, shocks, etc, now it runs awesome, handles better.
Me: maybe we should make it street legal now?
Hubby: No, I'll do it when I get a ticket.
Me: Ya know, they've been impounding golf carts here in The Farms.
Hubby: Whatever, I"ll pay it when that happens.

Fast forward to this morning

Cop: get that thing back to your house, and the next time I see it, it's getting towed.
Me: Yes, sir!

Thanks for all the info, hubby has one week to order the items we are missing!
This thread has saved me a lot of headache of finding all the right info. I'll reply and let you know how it goes.

Ha Ha too funny! Where do you guys live? Cops never bother us, they just look at us funny. We ride on the sidewalk, for the mostpart, though.

I live in Jupiter Farms. This is the first time a cop has said anything. Another time I was stopped by one but he just said he could barely see me due to dim lights (battery dying!)
I saw a cart being towed the other day with a cop sitting there, didn't see if it was the same dude, and I heard of others getting tickets.
This guy was a douche bag with short guy syndrome, really rude know-it-all smart ***. He said if he saw it again it would be towed.
Whatever, we're converting it anyway and then no worries!
