Default New to the Golf Cart World

Hi All, I was recently giving a 1999 Club Car DS., Seeign it was a FL cart most of its life it needs some work which I am in process of doing. I recently bought a 6" lift kit along with 23" tires and I got to thinking how will this effect the motor. Will I see the cart get slower in speed? loose torque or will the motor burn out all together due to the increase mass it has to rotate. Do I need to replace the motor if I am using bigger tires? Any feed back is appreciated.

Thank you.

your toque will greatly affected which you should notice right of the bat. The stock motor should hold up for many years with stock controller. now if you change controllers to regain your torque thats a different story . I went to a FSIP 700 amp and my stock motor last 5 years before it burned up.

Provide some details on how you are going to use the cart. People hauler, mountain climbing, street machine etc. You build a cart for what you are going to use it for. Provide a serial number of the cart so the group knows what you're starting with.
