Club Car Precedent 2009 48Volt rear leaf spring bushing replacement
Just finished replacing all front end and steering bushings on my Club Car. Started on the rear leaf springs and was successful in replacing both rear bushings but cannot get the bolts to slide out of the front bushings. They spin freely after the nuts are removed but will not budge to remove them. Any suggestions....

Hammer time. The sleeve inside the bushing is seized to the bolt. Sometimes a couple whacks with a hammer will get them to pop loose and slide out. Other times, you just have to cut them out with a sawzall or cutting wheel and replace the bolts.

The EZGO do not have the internal sleeve on the front leaf spring bushing. Sure wish that CLUB CAR was as smast as EZGO.
Mr FAIRTAX4ME is right, go ahead and get that face shield ready...its cutting time |

Is it necessary to go back with the original bolts or can I just replace with a good quality bolt from the hardware store?

Impact wrench. Spin it fast until it gets so hot it's pouring smoke. It's stuck on the sleeve and until you break the seal of that sleeve, it's not gonna move. 9 times out of 10 the heat will break the seal and you can hammer it out pretty easily after that.

They're metric on the Precedent. I dunno exactly what size they are on the leaf springs, but whatever you use needs to equal the grade and size of what's there. I want to say the rear bolts are 10.9 which would be grade 8 equivalent in SAE. Match strength, length, and diameter as close as you can and it should be fine.
