Upgrade of my 2014 Precedent
Had my kids fly in from the East Coast for the week here in Arizona. Used the golf cart to run around the area with them. Boy with four Adults in the cart we were really struggling going up some small hills. It is a stock Precedent 2014 with mode 4, Eric charger and a GE 3.5 HP electric motor. Batteries are 2015 age so not in the best shape any more even though I charge them every time I use it. I guess this winter I am going to be good friends with Scotty and Dave to upgrade this cart with a new Controller, Solenoid, Motor and Cables. Maybe even replacing batteries with some Lithium batteries. Looking at the going with some 12 volt drop in Lithium batteries instead of building a pack myself. Know it cost a lot more but don’t want the hassle of building it myself. Enjoy reading the experience other forum members have with replacing lead Acid batteries with some of the new Lithium batteries popping up in the market.

You won’t regret any upgrades you get from those guys! Both of them have first class service and great products. Any questions you have of course feel free to ask. (Lithium is out of my knowledge even though I’d love to convert mine someday!)

You're gonna love it if you upgrade it and do Lithium batteries. It's gonna be like a whole different cart.

I've got the same cart and upgraded the controller, cables, solenoid, motor, etc., and love it! It now does 34 mph on flat roads, climbs hills at 20 mph, and drives great - with all four of us plus the dog! No lithium batteries though... yet.

I use the cart by myself most of the time so never had a problem with the small inclines around here. But understand now what some of our other members complain about the cart being under powered with four adults on board. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
