Default Battery Amp Hours

My batteries have two different amp hour ratings. Which one do I use to figure the pack amp hours? And if it's the c/20 does that mean I have a 600 amp pack if I have 4 12s? And if so that seems pretty low. Like roughly how many miles would that take me?

Yes, you use the C/20 rating of 150 Amp Hours. The Amp Hour rating of the whole pack will be 150.

When the batteries are connected in series, as yours are, the voltage is additive so you have 48V for 4x12V batteries but the AH are the same as for one battery (a parallel connection does the opposite and would give 12V and 600 AH).

As for the miles, that depends on the state of the batteries (age, usage patterns, maintenance etc).

The AH of the pack is the same as the lowest AH battery in the series, so if one of the batteries can only deliver 100AH, you have a 100AH pack even if the other 3 batteries could deliver 150AH.

And yes 150 is considered smallish as the standard benchmark is 170 for an 8 volt 48 volt battery pack.

He has 12v batteries and 150AH is the same as a Trojan T-1275.

I agree that 6 x 8v makes a better pack for a golf cart (8x6v is just too heavy for most applications).

Yes I should have expanded on that... A cart with 4x12V simply has a smaller gas tank than a cart with 6x8V with an 8x6V having the most range but at the expense of weight...
