87 club car high speed take off only
have a 87 club car 36 volt 5 solinoids with coil resistors cart only moves forward or reverse by tromping the pedal and then takes of with a jolt also has 5 micro switches inside box in front of batteries activated bye foot pedal need advice Thanks hope someone can

Do you hear a series of clicks as you slowly depress the pedal?
Sounds like your speed solenoids are not working. This could be bad solenoids or speed switches on the accelerator. Jack up the rear end and check for the "clicks" of each solenoid. If you don't hear any clicking I'd start with the speed switch. If you hear clicks, it's most likely bad solenoids or could be a broken spped resistor - get a ohm meter and check each of the coil resistors attached to the solenoids. |
