Default Diode and Resistor

All on my 2007 club car that i just upgraded with the A4 and Alltrax 48500 can someone confirm these are correct and required? I had them off and the cart seemed to run better and have more power but was told i need them.

Thanks
Blake

Pictured are 2 diodes. They are both needed for the IQ
They cannot possibly diminish performance.
If installed backwards they can prevent operation.

At first glance I thought the small diode was backwards but closer examination reveals the diode is positioned correctly. The red crimp threw me off.
On the big diode is the battery main (+) cable closest the bottom of the picture? If yes that diode is correct as well.

Correct.

The cart lost almost all power yesterday and this was the only change I made.

Then you had a connection issue or another anomaly as the regen diode and suppression diode cannot do what you had occur. And you do not want to operate without them....
