Precedent accelerates then backs off to a slower speed

2008.5 precedent was working fine. Then yesterday it started being a problem. It would start to accelerate up to normal speed, then slow back to a steady but much lower than normal speed. Any suggestions??

What control do you have installed? This could just be a failing speed sensor.

Controller serial # is CCR384333. Don't know it's make or model.

Manually push the cart forwards and backwards and see if you get resistance and beeping. If not, the speed sensor has failed. If it works correctly, then the MCOR is probably the problem. You can leave the key off, pump the pedal 25-30 times, and then see if it runs better. If so, replace the MCOR with an OEM replacement, not a chinese knock-off.

Thanks for the information. I tried your test, and it seems to be the speed sensor. I will get a new one and see what happens.
