Default Club Car - stretch from the factory?

hey guys, long time lurker but i need some help with a new build.

TL;DR - Did Club Car make a 6 passenger DS in 1996? If so how can i tell it is factory? If it is factory, is it a Villager 6 and when did CC start making those?

I recently came across what i thought was a good deal. my wife and i were looking to upgrade our 4 passenger precedent to a 6 passenger. i really wanted to find something used since our two kids can be rough so was looking at older models. we came across a 1996 Club Car DS 6 passenger at a local dealer but it was sloooooow. like 7 mph slow on flat pavement! the rest of the cart is in excellent shape, a few scratches and dings but all in all it all looks very good, not to mention 6new Trojans!. i quickly got excited thinking i could strip the electrics out and start fresh with goods from ScottyB. So i convinced the wife, we bought it, and immediately ordered from Scotty. Now i have all new electrics from the switches to the motor. new solid state pedal, new cables, alltrax controller, HD reverse, HD solenoids, etc, etc. I am very excited to finish!

We are now looking for an enclosure and we are having a tough time finding one that will fit. all of the google pics i have found look different than what our cart looks like. If this cart is custom then it is hard to tell until you crawl under it. if anyone has any suggestions on where to buy enclosures for older CC 6 passenger carts.

can anyone help me determine if this cart is factory stretched or if this was a custom job? I am also curious, if this cart is custom, what different years of carts they used to put it together.

Thanks for any help you can help me with.
Jason

PS:
This is the site i was using to help ID the cart during purchase:

A dead give away is the wiring harness that goes to the dash, look for a group of butt connector in the harness, a plowboy mechanic when stretching a cart will not take the time to make a new harness, they will just add the required length of wire to the original harness.
Other give away is the floor mat, seat pods and frame itself.
It sound like you have a wonderful plan for this cart, great job with choosing Carts unlimited, The Club Car DS type is the Queen of the Dance.
wishing you many great miles with your family.

lol now that you mention it, all of the wires to the dash were molded trailer wiring (green, yellow, brown, and white).

the floor mat and seats pods are what make me question it. the look pretty professional in my opinion. the frame is, ehhh, so so in terms of quality but it is welded aluminum so not just any plowboy has the equipment and/or skill to weld aluminum. i will get some pics later and post them up for reference.
