Default Torn between two carts and need opinions? New to Carts

Hi all new to forum and gonna buy a cart and need your opinions.

Have two 48 volts in my budget. Only mods will be is maybe going faster than 14mph!

First is a 2009 Club Car Precedent. 1 year old trojan batteries(6 eight volt) with after market mag wheels, back seat, no lights which I would have to add and the price we agreed would be 2300.

Second one is a 2007 Yamaha with two new batteries and two year old batteries from what the seller says and not trojans, has all lights and rear seat, no aftermarket wheels, and agreed price is 2200.

I know this is a club car thread but would like to get your opinions on both? Remember only mod will be upping the speed.

Thanks in advance

The CC is probably a better choice.
It's more popular which means more aftermarket parts.
And more forum tech support.
The CC makes a couple more mph than the Yami with the same mods.
And ...the stock Yamaha motor is the weakest motor of the big 3 sellers with some durability problems.

I’d probably choose the Club Car as well. A 2007 may or may not be susceptible to rear end issues, as well as a really strange brake setup.

Thanks for the replys and insight on the two carts. So no disadvantage to 6- 8 volt batteries compared to 4-12 volt,?

Six eight volt batteries are actually a big advantage. Go with the CC!

And depending on where you will be using the cart, the aluminum frame on the CC can be an advantage or a huge advantage.

And the Precedent will either be a late IQ cart or a i2/Excel cart. Excellent electronic system with both. Just make sure if you depress the pedal you can hear a click under the floorboard. If not, it is a TPS and for safety reasons you need to replace it with an MCOR conversion. (It was supposed to be done back then under warranty be quite a few never got done)
