Precedent I2L Speed Upgrade
Hi everyone, I’m new here and new to golf carts so apologies for the basic question. I’m thinking of buying my grandmother’s golf cart. The serial number starts with JH1725 so looks like I have a Precedent I2L 4 Pass HF chg. The cart seems to do around 18-19 mph but we would like to go 20-25 so we can register it in Florida (PBC) and also have a more functional cart. Is there a code to accomplish this? Or is a new motor required? And if that’s not possible, does the DMV typically care if the cart goes under 20? Thanks in advance.

Re: Precedent I2L Speed Upgrade
At 18/19 mph you must be at Speed Code 4 now if those are stock height tires. The next best speed you can get is an Alltrax XCT300 controller upgrade https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...roller-300-amp. This is a Bolt-On replacement to your stock Curtis controller and will yield 23-24 mph with stock tires and a good pack. More speed with taller tires.
Not sure about your DOT question. |
