Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
When I press the accelerator pedal on my 2013 Club Car, it often doesn't go on the first depression but will go and run fine the scond or third time I depress the pedal. Anyone have any ideas if this is easily fixed?

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
failing MCOR
Sometimes on Precedents/IQ DS cars though if it's sat awhile it goes 'to sleep' and you have to do what you do to wake it up. Actually, what's happening is the OBC is asleep and locks the car out. Turning key on, hit gas once, let off, you might see the battery warning light illuminate for a moment and go out. then hit the gas again and it should run fine. |

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
i have had this problem for awhile (almost a year) and it seems it always take at least two depressions to make it go.Almost seems as though it is getting worse (sometimes takes three depressions). But it always goes and runs well once it starts. Just put in new batteries and this did not affect or improve the problem.

Yep it’s probably the MCOR.

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
I'm sorry but what is the MCOR? Is it easily repaired or replaced? Thanks!
I understand that the foreign MCOR's aren't worth getting. Where can I get a MCOR that is OEM quality? |

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
Here is a remote possibility. If you have your foot on the throttle when you turn the key on(like you do in a car) you will trigger a HPD.

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
Please help me with this issue...
I press the pedal on my 2013 Club Car Precedent and nothing happens. I press it again and it usually goes. Sometimes it takes 2 pedal depressions sometimes 3 to make it go. I was told that it was the MCOR so I replaced it with a new type 4 MCOR and at first it seemed to help because it took off after the first pedal depression but then it became erratic again and now I am back where I started...2 to 3 pedal depressions to make it go. There is no hesitating...it either goes or it doesn't. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks! Ben |

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
Could this be the resistor on the solenoid not keeping the controller charge up? IDK i am just trying to think out of the box.

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
Where did you purchase the new MCOR? Sometimes a new aftermarket part is defective right out of the box, or could fail soon after installing.
You should try unplugging the two wire connector from the MCOR, and jumper the pins in the connector with a paper clip. Do this with Key On, and F or R selected. When you plug the paper clip in, listen closely for the solenoid in the rear of the cart to Click. The cart should then be able to drive. If you do not hear the solenoid click, then you'll need to get the rear of the cart up on jack stands and get underneath to remove the controller splash shield so you can test the voltage reaching the solenoid and check the negative side for command from the controller to engage the solenoid. You will be checking for 48V across the small pins of the solenoid when the solenoid is commanded on. You will need alligator clips for your meter leads, or will need a helper to push the Go pedal while you check the voltage. For the sake of arguement lets pretend that Nobody Knows what an HPD is. This is practically useless information unless you can explain this a LOT more. |
