Default Club Car pulses under load

I have a 36 volt club car (A9929-781660) which has lately started to pulse, and hence lose power when going up a hill at full throttle. I don't think it is gears because if I let off the throttle, it smooths out, but goes slower up the hill. The pulse is very steady, not like a gear problem. It works fine on flat terrain. I am wondering if this could be related to controller. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

When mine does that the batteries need charging. If your batt. are old they don't hold up at all with hills.

Hello
I feel safe in assuming that the batteries in my 97 club car are original in their death throes so I will replace them soon . However they do work but lately I am getting a chattering in what i assume to be the transfer case. there is what appears to be a lubricant filler on the top but it spins freely and cannot be removed/ Someone suggested it is a vent dunno but I am sure some lubrication cant hurt. Does anyone know where the filler is located ? Do I use 90 weight gear oil or some other viscosity?
Am I hearing broken gears or weak current?
Thanks
robert

Hey Robert...
You should start a new thread of your own... you'll get help faster!

Also... check the "search" feature... lots of info on lube and chattering!

More info on my original issue. My wife tells me the golf cart works fine until about the 15th hole, when it starts power pulsing on hills. It does not seem to be a mechanical pulsing, like a missing gear tooth, it is just a steady surge, drop out, resurge, maybe at 2 or 3 pulses per second. It seems to take a charge OK. Would it help if I put a volt meter across the 36 volts on the batteries and watch it while it is surging?

What is this 15th hole thingy? Does she count how many holes she hit?
