![]() Hi everyone. I have a 2002 club car ds 48v. I noticed a squeak or squeel when coasting to a stop. Only does this when coasting though. When throttle is depressed no sound just normal click. Not sure if a bearing or brushes?

![]() Could be a motor bumper. Not sure if a 2002 is supposed to have one, maybe a more experienced member can verify that. It would make sense that it would be your issue, if you are only experiencing the sound when not under power. It's an inexpensive part, and while you have the motor off to replace it, you can inspect it for other issues.

![]() I have also had brushes make that, I have had brake shoes do it, and I have had axle bearings do it. Jack it up in the rear, rotate the tires and see if you can identify it. If not duplicated, then carefully place the cart in Fwd and ease the throttle up and down.
