How do you kill the rev. beeping?

I am sure that it is a simple fix like cutting a wire, but how do you kill the beeping sound when the cart is in reverse?

I have a 2000 CC DS.

It's so awesome that you asked this because that was the very next question I was going to post. That noise is horrible. I know it's a safety feature but luckily I am observant enough to watch for other people instead of them watching for me or listening in this case.

You can find the buzzer under the seat area and there should be two wires going to it. I do not recommend disconnecting one of them, but that will kill the power to the buzzer.

It's under the dash panel... (on a newer DS... not sure on the Precedent)
a small round unit mounted to the dash panel itself....

Just pull off one of the connectors from the buzzer, tape up, and reinstall the dash!

I don't recommend disconnecting the reverse buzzer... I'd prefer if you didn't,
But, you do what you have to do!

Any reason why I shouldn't.

Right now my two year old hears the cart beeping and comes running for a ride. I can never sneek out with the cart

no mechanical or electrical reason why you cant disable the alarm...I think they are leaning towards safety issues. Just be aware of whats around, there are no ill effects on the cart by disconnecting the buzzer.

Back it into the garage

Or find the wire that operates it at one of the micros on the F&R and disconnect it

On the Precedent, the buzzer is located on the center dash panel where the key is located. Take the 3 mounting screws out and you will see the buzzer monted to the backside of this dash panel.

And MY dog is the same way...
I can't go anywhere on the cart without her wanting to go, when that buzzer goes off!

There is no effect on the cart by disconnecting the buzzer,
But, It's there for a reason!

Keep in mind...
I would have NEVER told you how to disconnect it, if I thought you were that irresponsible to run over something!
(kids.. dogs...etc...)

Just be SAFE!

That's all I'm asking!
