Default Trail Fixes

Hello everyone. This is my first time so be gentle. This weekend i was doing the usual trail riding and just as i made a hard right my cart stopped and would not turn. Knowing something was wrong i stepped up front to take a look. I found myself looking at a broken front leaf spring. It broke just on the passenger side of the frame, so after a while of scratching my head i decided it wasnt going to rig itself. All i had with me was a bucket and a bungee strap. I used the bucket to prop up the front, put the broken end of the spring back where it belongs and lashed the broken spring end to the shorter springs above it crossed my fingers and limped it home. I still cant beleive it made it.
Any more trail fixes anyone want to share?

Welcome to BGW! I've been fortunate not to seveirly break down on the trails. But I always carry a load of 'rig it up stuff' just in case. My take on it is 'you do what you gotta do to get it home', if you can.

I think Murphy Rules..... THe more fixit stuff you carry the less likely you are to need it ! Of course sheet metal screws for tire plugs are the exception.....
