Lift kit??
Hey everyone. I’m looking into a lift kit for a 2014 Club Car Precedent. I only want a 3” or 4” so my mom can still get in an out don’t need any extravagant height, but my question is should I do a spindle loft kit or an A-Arm? Is there an advantage to one or the other is one easier to install than the other?? Thanks everyone. MATT

What type of terrain are you on do you need clearance or are you lifting just for looks.

Re: Lift kit??
1st picture 3” spindle lift with 20” tires 2nd pick 6” A-arm lift 22” or 23” tires I can’t remember. The handling is much better with the a arm lift. But it was a bitch to install because it makes the break lines to short and things had to be modified. This is also a 2014 precedent.

Re: Lift kit??
Thanks hit like a champ I was only going for looks. If I’m doing a 3” lift weather it being spindle kit or 3” A-Arm kit I wouldn’t need to mess with break lines right??? I’m NOT doing a 6” lift at all too big. I also was doing 20” tires with this 3” or 4” lift, did you need wheel spacers when you did yours?.?

Re: Lift kit??
I would go with the 4" All Sports A-arm lift. I have the SS version of that lift on my 02 DS with 20" tires. Rides wonderful and does not look out of proportion. Spindle lifts are not known to be very stable at faster speeds and do not have as good of a turning radius as the A-arm lifts do.

And it rides just as good. Deflating your tires is about the best way for a good ride. |

Re: Lift kit??
Remember the "lift" generally provides the clearance between the body and tires. The rear axle and front lower A-arms are still restricted on clearance based on the tire height.

Re: Lift kit??
I just put 20.5" tall tires on my precedent with a 4" all sports lift. I would stick with the A-arm lift. if I had to do it again, I would probably go 3". But now I have room for a taller tire if I choose down the road. I installed the new brake cable, it is only about an inch longer than the original.

Re: Lift kit??
All-Sports Double A-Arm lift kit is what you want. The spindle lifts are going to haunt you with alignment and steering issues from day 1. It's also going to go through front end bushings at a much faster rate than it does now if you install a spindle lift.

Re: Lift kit??
4" All-Sports is what I got (from Dave above). I've bought all of my CC parts thru him and would recommend him. Very fast shipping.
