Pack voltage
I have a 2016 Precident. I just replaced the Trojans with new 1 week ago, the old batteries were in use exactly 36 months almost to the day, I think I actually had 1 bad battery but replaced all.
I have an onboard digital volt meter, a cheap advance auto multi meter, and a good brand new high line multi meter. After an extended charge 16 hours and charger is done I have 50.7 on the onboard meter, 50.3 reading on the Advance Auto unit, and 51.03 on the new expensive meter, I believe 100% is 50.9. More curious is if I unplug the charger, wait a bit and plug it back in I will see a charger voltage in the high 50’s or even 60 volts, if I leave it for a few hours and unplug I will see a voltage of 52 or so, It would seem that brand new batteries after a dozen or so charges would be at the 100% level of 50.9, crazy that 3 meters give me different readings, maybe I need to buy a few more and average them all out :) I would love for the expensive meter to be correct at 51.03, can new batteries be at that voltage? What should brand new Trojans be at? |

Re: Pack voltage
This is a hard question to answer because the shelf life of batteries is never consistent. Batteries lose energy as they sit. If a pallet of batteries has sat for a month before they've been sold they're going to read a different voltage than if they'd sat for a week. Charge them up and use the most reliable meter you have and see what they measure. I'm sure they're fine.
