Default V-glide Wiper Issue?

I have a 1989 36V club cart my dad gave to me that i have been working on. It ran for a while, but I changed the forward reverse switch and wired something in backwards. Since i have taken the motor off, replace the wires, cleaned everything up, replaced the solenoid, replace the forward reverse switch, replace most of the wires on the batteries, and hooked everything back up but the cart will not move. I tested all the batteries and they are around 6.4V (some a little more some a little less). If I am not mistaken to get power to the motor it has to go through the wiper assembly>resistance coils>finally motor. I put a weight on the throttle and volt tested the connections on the wipers and I was getting around 0-4V (kinda varied) could my wiper be the issue or should I look else where?

Default Re: V-glide Wiper Issue?

The wiper hits the pads in the vglide, which in turn sends pack voltage to the resistors. So only the pads that are being touched by the wiper should have any voltage. Since you are placing a weight on the pedal, only the pad for wide open throttle should have voltage and it should be pack voltage.

See if the wiring diagram below is for your cart. When your pedal is all the way depressed, the top pad should have pack voltage, which should send power directly to the motor (bypassing the resistors).

send pics of your wiring on the F/R switch ...and pics of the micro switch wires coming from the v glide , and the charge port/fuse...….
and you really should pull the 2 batteries so you can take the cover off the VGlide and look inside to see if the pads are ok and the wiper switch goes all the way up and all the way down as the can get out of adjustment...
