Default AllTrax 48500 Wiring Diagram?

2001 Club Car DS

Gonna try to get my Alltrax 48500 installed this weekend. I have been searching around and can't seem to find a wiring diagram that will help me switch over the stock controller, solenoid, and F/R switch to the new AllTrax controller, HD solenoid, and HD F/R switch.

Even tried youtube to see if anyone had a video of this conversion.

Any help would be appreciated, just trying to get a good understanding of this swap before jumping in.

Thanks

Is this for a series or sepex cart? Are you getting an electronic foot (gas) pedal with the kit?

Sorry, it's for a series cart. Didn't know anything about an electronic foot (gas) pedal. Need to look into that I guess.

According to the AllTrax manual, other than the M-, B-, and B+, there are only 4 other wires that connect to the controller?

M- goes to the M- on the HD F/R switch?
B- goes to the negative side of the battery pack after passing the the OBC
B+ goes to A1 on the motor and also the the HD solenoid?

Where do the other 4 wires go to and come from?

The HD Solenoid will have 8 wires going to it, yellow from the B+ of the controller; Red to the + side of the battery pack; small red from the controller; small white/black to some switch; small red to the reverse buzzer; small green to the key switch; small yellow to the OBC; and small red to the OBC. Does that sound right?

I have the SR48500 with 400A solenoid and HD reversing contactor on my 1990 DS. With the kit I purchased, it came with the electronic foot pedal so I removed my vglide. Are you keeping your vglide?

Attached is a PDF of the wiring on my cart. See if it helps. If you are keeping your vglide, you'll have to modify with resistors.

Where did you get your electronic foot pedal, I'm open to changing it out if it will improve anything.

BGW sponsor ScottyB @ CartsUnlimited (http://www.cartsunlimited.net

You can also convert your vglide using the instructions here - http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...onversion.html

If you change to an electronic pedal, you lose the functionality of pressing the gas pedal and it releases the brake pedal. With electronic pedal, you have to manually release parking brake.

BTW. You can get all of the Alltrax wiring diagrams directly from the Alltrax web site.

All I saw was the one wiring diagram from the manual, but I'll look again. Basically just wondering where the wires come from that connect to the controller, solenoid, and F/R switch. Figure I'm gonna have to cut and crimp at least some connectors.

I am assuming that you have a controller cart not a resistor cart so the electronic pedal shouldn't be an issue. Here is a diagram that should get you up and running without too many issues. HTH
