Default Beast upgrade has no power???

I have a 02 36Volt CC with Alltrax 4865 controller(650 amp),4Ga wires,Beast motor and all heavy 2-4 ga wiring.I bought the cart with a raptor motor and it would pull 24mph easy in the flats with the kids aboard.I lost a lot in the hills at some camp grounds so I opted for a "beast" Hi-torque motor.Since installing the torque motor it seems like it has no more bottom end than the raptor and only runs 14mph max, barely gets up the ramps into the truck where before it would dang near pull a wheelie with the raptor.I changed nothing on the battery/controller end and wired the motor exactly the same as the one I removed.what gives?I have 6.25 across the board on the batteries.Do I have the upgrade to 48v?I know I have enough controller so where should I start.I really expected more outta this motor.

just checked all my batteries, all in the range of 6.40-6.50 except one at 4.33.Could this be the problem?I mean if I am down that much in a 36v system could this be the culprit?wondering if I should just go ahead and convert to 48v.I did nothing to the contyroller so I have no clue if it can be reprogrammed for a different motor....

What are the date codes on the other batteries? They are on the base of the NEG post.... like A3 for January 2003 ..... I ask because it is not advisable to mix old and new batteries..... and if you have to buy batts and already have a 48v capable controller well, you see where I'm going? Six new 8v batteries will take this cart to the races Don't forget the new 48v solenoid

Reverse is always geared a little lower..... equals slower but, more torque. You will need six 8v batteries a 48v lester type charger and a HD 48v solenoid. We have a large group of sponsors who can supply you with whatever you need. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/site-sponsors.php

Is it possible to get the half speed reverse wire hooked up in the forward wiring?
