12v deep cycle optimas in club car
can you use automotive gel cell optimas in a club car,say 4 12v deep cycle optimas???just curious

They will work but not effectively. They are not designed to handle the amp loads required by golf carts. The run time you get will be horrible and the batteries will fry in a short amount of time...basically.
So could it be done, yes. Should it be done...ABSOLUTELY NOT! |

besides that you could get a set of Trojans for less.that would be sounder.my opinion.

I had a customer that did something similar to that.
It took him 4 sets of batteries in 5 years to keep his car running, had horrible run times, fried solenoids from weak voltage. Doing it right the first time is best. |
