Default Jake's 6" Spindle Lift Kit Question

I'd like to get a 6" lift kit for my 1999 Club Car DS. I went onto Jake's site and viewed the installation instructions. It mentions that "you will not able able to use the stock tires". Is that true and if so, why? I can't understand why I wouldn't be able to use my current tires. I do want the lift kit, but not if it means my pratically brand new stock tires can not be used.

Have you looked at AllSports for lift kits? Have one... love it!

The 6" Jakes for my Yammi uses a billet "riser" on each front steering arm which can cause interference on a stock 8" rim. I am guessing it's the same on the CC. The larger inside diameter (and the rim's offset) on 10"and larger don't have that problem. On a side note there are others who have used this lift with 8" rims and state that they don't have any problems. Just be aware that if Jake's is saying use larger rims, you will probably need to.

Here's why. The directions are saying that the stock tires, which of course are mounted on 8" wheels, and due to the fact that the new spindle drops and moves forward, the spindle would hit the wheel itself. On the attachment, the red area shows the contact. The black shows the wheel and spindle. By adding a 10" or 12" wheel, the spindle will clear the wheel.
